Lets talk about this sweet couple. Jessica and Andrew are sweethearts from middle school. Middle school. Awesome right? They are the type of couple that welcomes you in with open arms and a big smile. The best. We had gorgeous weather for their session this past Saturday. A bit windy but they rocked wind. And in Andrew's words, "Dat sun flare doe." Yeah.. that sun flare was pretty fab.
Usually I start the beginning of wedding bookings at a coffee shop. I meet with the bride and groom, talk about the big day, and the full wedding experience that they can expect from me. With Jessica and Andrew, I knew we were going to be a great fit from the beginning. An incredibly gorgeous and happy couple with perfect wedding date (9/17.. The best day for celebrations in my opinion ;) ).. what more could a photographer ask for? Last Saturday was the first time I met J+A. We had talked and booked everything via email. After finally meeting these two, I am even more excited for their big day. Check out a few of my favorites from their engagement session. I'm obsessed with their love and laughter!
How they met according to her: Andrew and I met in Junior High. Both our elementary schools combined to make one Jr. High/ High School. He was a football player and I was a football manager so that is probably when we first actually met, but we did not actually get to know each other until our first class together.
How they met according to him: It was 7th grade, I was a football player and she was a football manager. I had a crush on her all through 7th grade. Second semester we finally had a class together where we began to talk and get to know each other. Our relationship began to grow until I finally got the courage to ask her out the following summer.
Proposal story: Andrew had me convinced that he was going to propose on New Year’s Eve, so I had no clue that it was coming. The day before New Year’s Eve, two of my best friends took me down to Indianapolis to go shopping for the day. I spent all day shopping for the perfect dress to wear when he proposed. I was not having much luck so when my friend suggested we go to a cute shop over by the Circle Center Monument, I thought nothing of it. We crossed the street towards the monument and I was just looking around. As we got closer, my friends told me to look up at the monument and Andrew came walking down the stairs. I was definitely surprised. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, when I of course said yes! We then spent the rest of the night celebrating with friends and families.
His idea of a date night: Perfect date night would obviously start with dinner of some sort as we’re both food lovers. After, we’d catch a movie, get a Coke Slushie, and maybe go out for drinks. After its all said and done, we’d go home to see our bulldog Winston and call it a night.
Her idea of a date night: My ideal date night is dinner out, probably at a Mexican or Italian restaurant. Then a movie night at home cuddled up with our puppy Winston.
