Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

  • I love working with couples who value genuine connection, effortless style, and a relaxed yet luxurious wedding day. My favorite couples trust the experts they’ve hired, allowing them to enjoy every moment as the guests of honor. They choose meaningful locations, often with family history, and prioritize creating an unforgettable experience for their loved ones. With an appreciation for candid moments and timeless elegance, these couples want their wedding day to reflect who they are, surrounded by the people they love most.

  • My favorite places to photograph an engagement session are the ones that reflect who you are as a couple and the moments you love sharing together. Whether it’s capturing the vibrant energy of a downtown date night, the relaxed charm of a casual morning at the lake, or the breathtaking beauty of running along the coastline of Carmel-by-the-Sea, I’m all about finding the perfect setting that feels true to you. Each of these locations offers its own unique vibe, making your engagement photos not just beautiful, but deeply personal and meaningful.

  • Like a calm friend who knows when to step in and when to disappear. I’ll give clear direction when it’s helpful (hello, family portraits), but I’ll also fade into the background so you can forget the camera is even there. My couples often tell me they were shocked by how much I captured without them noticing — the little glances, the laughter between poses, the real heartbeat of the day.

  • It’s always different. Sometimes it’s a dad’s speech where he can’t quite get the words out. Sometimes it’s the way the bride’s mom squeezes her daughter’s hand before the aisle. Sometimes it’s everyone barefoot on the dance floor. That unpredictability is what keeps me in love with this work.

  • Some of my favorite galleries come from rainy days. Umbrellas, laughter, raindrops on tuxedo shoulders — it adds texture and life to the story. We’ll plan for it, embrace it, and most of all, we’ll make sure it feels like you.

  • While my family calls Northwest Ohio and Syracuse, Indiana home, my work takes me all over. Since 2011, I’ve photographed all along the coast of California, Alabama, Virginia, Nashville, Dallas, and New York City to name a few. Love rarely stays in one place, and neither do I.

  • Because I’ve been there — in the quiet, in the chaos, and in the moments no one else sees since 2011.

After photographing weddings for more than a decade, I know what to look for and what’s about to happen before it does — the glance across the aisle, the quick hug before a speech, the flower girl running off with the bouquet. I’ll also be there for the little things that make the day run smoother: timeline curation, bustling your dress, fixing your veil, pinning a boutonniere, etc.

My job isn’t just to capture the day, it’s to hold space for it — so you can be fully present, knowing everything is taken care of. I’ll be there — anticipating these fleeting moments before they even happen
